Altex Yacht & Boat's Primashield Sealer has been introduced into the Pleasure Marine market to provide a one-stop solution to recoating aged antifouling,  various barrier or build coats, as well as exposed substrate on all vessels below the waterline.  Very easy to use - single pack, fast dry, extended maximum recoat, multi-substrate/surface tolerant, brush, roll or spray application. Can be used on above water topsides systems.  Primashield is competitively priced and available in 1 & 4 litre containers.

The classic beauty of the MV Halcyon has been celebrated with a full exterior repaint in single pack AYB products chosen by boat builder and applicators Bayside Shipwright Services.

The existing coatings were in poor condition and necessitated weeks of tedious preparation, primarily focusing on the sanding down of the old paintwork, back to bare in some areas; to provide a sound surface for the new paint system.

Care was taken to minimise damage to the underlying frail coatings by utilising many different sanding methods to suit each layer of coating. Each stage of the application procedure was then inspected making certain all surfaces were bought back to a smooth surface, ensuring the new owners would be happy and with a finish that could be easily maintained in years to come.

Once readied, the exterior was painted with a system of Altex Yacht & Boat Multipurpose Primer to all spot areas followed by a full coat to tie it all in. AYB Marine Surfacer Undercoat and AYB Marine Gloss Enamel were then applied to all above waterline surfaces.

To the hull below water, PrimaShield Sealer, and the well proven and tested AYB No 5 Antifouling.

Amazing, that in this world of technology when spray application is the norm, Bayside Shipwright Services who are traditionalists opted to apply all coatings by brush and roller!

This Spirited Designs Race Boat was built by Stallion Marine for the offshore race circuit off the east coast of Australia.

The Stallion Marine Spirited 380 was designed by Craig Schionning and has had the best options picked from multi-hulls to build one exceptional package. The 380 has a finish and style that puts it into a class above other multi-hulls.

Uncompromised in this sailing solution, the Spirited 380 is constructed from a Computer Cut kit system of DuFlex panels and the ever strong Epoxy resins meaning accurate construction, exacting quality of finish and fast build times.

The inside has been coated with No. 2 Epoxy High Build Surfacer, No. 3 Epoxy Primer Undercoat and Elite High Gloss Polyurethane.

The outside, below waterline, of the boat is coated with No. 1 Epoxy Primer, No.2 Epoxy High Build Surfacer, No. 3 Epoxy Primer Undercoat, No.4 Epoxy Sealer / Undercoat and No. 5 Antifouling.

This catamaran was recently featured in the 2008 Sanctuary Cove International Boat show in Australia and was a huge attraction
